Hands up who is so confused that it’s March already?
Finally feeling like I’m breaking out of the winter blues (no thanks to the Beast from the East). March for me, is the start of spring. I love nothing more than ditching coats and jackets and wearing something other than boots every day. This month, I’ve got a couple of things that will make your March the best month so far.
- The Bold Type
I started watching this on Amazon after hearing Suzy from Hello October recommending it. Finishing The Crown/Manhunt: Unabomber/The Sinner has left me with a television shaped whole in my life. (If you’re looking for a new Netflix series, don’t forget to check out my post here). The Bold Type has come along and made me feel a little better that Blair and Serena are no longer a part of my life. It follows the story of 3 girls working at a fashion magazine and all the hilarious misfortunes they come across with boys, work… and more boys. Definitely recommend.
- Is It Just Me?
I’ve been a fan of this since I started reading Glamour and their ‘Hey It’s Okay’ column. I’m a pretty clumsy and ridiculous person, so this has just been my favourite way of finding fellow idiots. Jo Elvin has finally made this a regular podcast and each week features a new celeb and a handful of new controversial topics. This is my favourite thing to listen to while walking down to uni – it’s so funny, light-hearted and thought-provoking too. If you don’t listen to it and want James and Jo to be your best friends, I’ll eat my hat.
- NARS Radiant Longwear Foundation
As I’m writing this, this is a very recent purchase (there’s still a hole burning through my purse as we speak). It has not let me down at all. Hearing a fair few beauty bloggers talk about this, I had to get my hands on it (I’m a salesperson’s dream).
I normally look for a lighter foundation, with relatively sheer coverage. This is probably a little more coverage than I’m used to, but doesn’t leave me looking cakey. It gives a very natural ‘your skin, but better’ effect. Love, love, love.
- Small Great Things
One of my New Years Resolutions has been to make more time in my life to read. Books like this one make that incredibly easy. This is the most thought-provoking book I’ve read in a while. I won’t give any spoilers away (I’m not that cruel), but it has to be one of the best books I’ve read. Ever. And I LOVE books.
I would love to hear anything you’d recommend trying in March – especially anything book related.
